The "Regulations on the Management of Entertainment Venues," issued by the State Council Order No. 458 signed by Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council of China, officially came into effect on March 1, 2006. According to the regulations, commercial discos, bars, and other entertainment venues will be equipped with security inspection equipment to conduct security checks on people coming and going, thus avoiding similar incidents, and entertainment venue operators will also have laws to follow.
